Your Child’s Comfort Matters

Their first dental visit is a big deal. It’s important to move at your child’s pace! We want to make sure your child feels completely comfortable at McRae Family Dentistry. We also offer other measures to make sure your little one is happy while getting the care they need:

• You’ll receive a sticker at the end of your child’s appointment 
• We hold a drawing for a teddy bear once a month
• All your questions (and theirs) will be answered fully.
• We’ll give you tips on how to help keep their teeth healthy at home.

Our Exams Are Fun

If your child is apprehensive, they can tag along to yours or their sibling’s appointment for a “happy visit”. We can take a quick peek at your little one’s developing teeth to make sure there aren’t any cavities and that they’re getting squeaky clean. We’re happy to collaborate on brushing techniques to set your child’s oral care up for success!

We also may be able to go more in depth with your child during this initial exam. It depends on how comfortable they feel with the first look inside their mouth. As they get older, though, their appointments will look more like your own do, with a full exam and a routine cleaning.
