Even while I was in middle school, elementary school, I always liked to do things with my hands, whether it was basket weaving, model airplane, building cabinets. So I've always had this relationship between my mind and my hand that was working. Also, one of the key things is I had a cousin years ago that was a dentist in Chicago, and it seemed to be a very good profession for him as well. About 1969, the Medical College of Georgia was getting ready to start a dental school, and they actually came down and they made a pretty good pitch about recruiting. So I feel like everyone is given an assignment in life by God and my assignment is dentistry, and it's not work to me. I get the same enjoyment out of dentistry as I do fishing, cooking, making wine and things like that.
So when I wake up in the morning, it's not I don't want to go to work. I look forward to going to work to see what problems we might solve for people this day. I like to look at this place as pretty much a one-stop shop. Whatever your dental needs are, we have the solution to that, and we don't have to send you one place for one thing, another place for another thing, another place. We take care. There are cases that we do refer out. I think specialists needed to see the very complicated cases, so we send those out. But the regular things that's general mill, without complication, we take care of those in house.
